I have found a friend in Jesus, He’s everything to me, He’s the fairest
of ten thousand to my soul; The Lily of the Valley, in Him alone I see
All I need to cleanse and make me fully whole. In sorrow He’s my
comfort, in trouble He’s my stay; He tells me every care on Him to roll:
He’s the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, He’s the
fairest of ten thousand to my soul.
He will never, never leave me, nor yet forsake me here, While I live by
faith and do His blessed will; A wall of fire about me,
I’ve nothing now to fear, Then sweeping up to Glory to see His blessed
face, Where rivers of delight shall ever roll:
With His manna He my hungry soul shall fill.
He’s the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, He’s the
fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

Just wanted to share this song...one of my favorites...WB
words: Charles W. Fry
music: William S. Hays

I am forever searching high and low
but why does everybody tell me no
Neptune of the seas/have you an answer for me please
but the lily of the valley doesn't know

I lie and wait with open eyes
I carry on through stormy skies
I follow every course/my kingdom for a horse
but each time i grow old
serpant of the nile, relieve me for a while
and cast me from this spell/let me go

Messenger from seven seas has flown
to tell the king of rhye he's lost his throne
wars will never cease/have you an answer for me please
but the lily of the valley doesn't grow

It's one of my favorite songs/it was written by Freddie Mercury
from the 1974 album by Queen "Sheer Heart Attack"

You know Michael, you come out in the other post about others taking you
down for questions you ask or the way you feel you don't think its right
for others to smear your name yet you still keep coming back an stirring
this pot of beans up if you want others to treat you like a decent human
being then you should practice those words yourself and back off as you
promised you would unless your promises are no good to start with.

Well Michael, if that is all it was and not a sarcastic comment as I
took it then I do apologize for I have also been known to jump the gun
with my thoughts and I will try to set it straight if I'm wrong. So
sorry if I took it the wrong way.

Once when the lawn was a golden green
and the marbled moonlit trees rose like fresh memorials
in the scented air, and the whole countryside pulsed
with the chirr and murmur of insects, I lay in the grass,
feeling the great distances open above me, and wondered
what I would become and where I would find myself,
and though I barely existed, I felt for an instant
that the vast star-clustered sky was mine, and I heard
my name as if for the first time, heard it the way
one hears the wind or the rain, but faint and far off
as though it belonged not to me but to the silence
from which it had come and to which it would

read this poem and thought I share it with you
