take a decent sized roast, maybe 2 lbs, cut into stew meat. get 2 big cans of baked beans, half lb of bacon cut into small pieces. add brown sugar, salt and pepper. put in a crock pot or dutch oven and let it stew for about 5 hours. turns out soft and most people dont notice the diffrence between it and beef, and no where near the fat content.

the baked beans and brown sugar kill all game taste in it. i wouldnt eat it if it was nasty. but hey, like you said to each their own.i could post my turkey recipe, but i dont really know how to describe the seasonings where everyone could understand it. i cook by taste, not recipes. i started when i was 5 helping my mom and started by myself when i was 8. so i have little bit of knowledge about cooking.

Another thing that helps flavor the deer meat is dry onion soup mix, takes the game taste out of it.

if your just cooking the strait meat, soy sauce kills the game taste, and you dont have to add any salt. but everyone has a diffrent way.
