Most people are charitable and not so self centered as to require gov't to steal from them to provide a living for others!

I donate to children and veterans charities despite my lack of finances. I donate my time and things that I create, or repair.

What are your charities?

I don't have time for charities, I have CHILDREN to take care of, and a job,,,,,I contribute to people who ask me for help when I have something in my purse


individual 'charities' wouldn't help most parents to provide childrens needs between all those offers from 'charitable' people to give them actual jobs,,,,,

I couldn't find a job, so I created one from a hobby. At the time I was supporting 3 people, 2 dogs and a cat. I had 3 surgeries, more bills, higher expenses, and something was seemingly always breaking that needed replaced or repaired.

Here you blame charities, or peoples kindness, when it is gov't regulations and fraud/greed that prevent most charities from doing any good.

The world is full of things to keep or bring you down, and a whole box full of excuses if you choose to use them. There's a saying about excuses......

My battle with my addiction (a 20 year gift from my time in Nam) taught me that there is no one to blame but myself if I don't rise up from a fall. Sometimes you are not able to do it alone, but if your willing and have the desire to stand again, there is usually a hand "up" to be had. When it becomes a hand "out", you are still nothing more than a addict.

My business/hobby works me 10 to 14 hours a day most times just to make ends meet. There are no guarantees I will eat today, or be well enough to get out of bed, but until the day I can no longer rise to face it, I am the master of my fate. Helping at the kitchens will get me a meal, or a delivery to a children or veterans hospital when needed.

I am not against helping those in need, and there are many in need right now, but gov't is not the vehicle that should be doing it! Hell, they can't even find it in themselves to help our veterans, but they can send BILLIONS to dictators in foreign countries we will eventually send more soldiers to remove!

The gov't has no concept of what "living within your means" is! When was the last timeone of them worried about their next meal, or kids clothes, insurance, or how to keep the lights on?

All they know is how to read teleprompters or prepared statements, lie and call it secrecy, steal and give to those without need, or hold their hand out to lobbyists of special interests for funds or media whores to help get them re-elected

They have lost all reason, morality, and sanity in their lust for power since we were taken off the gold standard, allowing banks and corporations a free reign to attack and attach the nations wealth, enslaving us to debt and their tax and spend policies! In doing so, they have destroyed the very creator of that wealth, the middle class!

Now we are a nation of dependents, slaves to their banker/corporate masters, and borrowing or stealing more to feed the addiction is not a cure for this once proud nation, so they give us wars, scandals and reality TV to keep us occupied and continue the madness just a bit longer...... until cancer kills the patient. The addict will simply find another host....

They are the true definition of an addict! Everything they touch or involve themselves in is only to feed their addiction, and does nothing but create a cancer in the host...WE THE PEOPLE and our nation!

So cry and complain if it makes you feel better, feed and enable that addiction, support and defend the Obama/Sharpton/Jacksons of the world, but I care too much for myself and my country to sit back and suck from her cancer infected breast and call it milk or nourishment!

Me, I will do my best to be part of the solution and not the problem!
