Hi, everyone, Knoxman here! Some of you may have seen some of my questions in the TV Trivia thread. Well, to prove I'm no one trick pony, I've decided to start something near 'n' dear to my heart--WRESTLING TRIVIA! Everyone is encouraged to submit questions concerning "the King of Sports" as Pro Wrestling used to be called.

Just one rule. Let's do one question at a time, and if someone submits a question, and the right answer is given, the question submitter should announce the question answered. OK? Well, here goes with the first one:

Andre the Giant was referred to as "The Eighth Wonder of The World". Who was referred to as "The Bad Man From Borger, Texas"?

Good Luck To All!

All Right, we have our first winner!

Way to go, TrueJedidrinker !

Ole Stan ended up staying in Japan for most of his career, where he was treated like royalty!

Here's a harder one:

Everyone's familiar with the tag team of the Midnight Express.
Did you know the Midnight Express team actually started in the Alabama territory in the early 80s? They started out as a three-man team. Name the three members.

I have Met My Wrestling Trivia Equal, And His Name Is True Jedi!

I salute you, sir. I really didn't think a lot of people on here followed wrestling before 1995!

Try this one for size.

In the same Alabama territory, the Midnight Express added an Honorary member, a masked man named "The Midnight Stallion". Stallion was a famous wrestler who had lost a "Loser Leaves Town" match, and came back under the hood. Who was the Midnight Stallion?

Sorry, TrueJedi, Tully Blanchard isn't it.

I'll give you 3 hints:

This wrestler was known as a wild man thruout his career.

He's a former National and Southeastern Champion.

He's actually from Canada.

Well, bedtime for Knox. The medical field knows no holidays--good thing it DOES know holiday pay:smile:$$$$

The answer to my "Midnight Stallion" question:

Archie "The Mongolian Stomper" Gouldie was the man in the Midnight Stallion mask.

Can't wait for someone to come up with another question.

GOODNIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

During the Dungeon Of Doom angle in WCW (mid-90s), Kevin Sullivan brought an enormous wrestler into his stable for a short stay right at the end of the Hulkamania vs. Dungen Of Doom story-line. His name was Ultimate Solution, who was this wrestler.

Good Luck.

(I don't have an answer to Nerve's question, but I do have a question of my own... let's see if anyone but me actually knows this.)

Why was the character "Goldust" created?

(There is a very specific reason why the gimmick was thought up.)

(sorry I missed that bit about one questions only... I'll retract it for now.)

The Rock 'n' Roll Express gig and costumed were came up with by Jerry "the King" Lawler.

Wasn't Goldust created by Vince McMahon as a "slap in the face" to Dusty Rhodes?

Well done Knoxman!

Goldust WAS created by Vince and played by Dustin Rhodes to insult his father Dusty Rhodes. The name was based off of one of Dusty's many nicknames... I think it was "Goldstar" or something like that.
