Very true. Christmas is for all ages.

Many Seniors trapped in over populated under staffed Skilled Nursing Facilities are desperate for the smallest comforts; warm tube socks, soft hoodies, button-less shirts, simple pull on pants, and Velcro opening tennis shoes. Plus sizes are always in shortage because diabetes and minimal ability to be active.

While time is the greatest gift fabric books, coloring books, Washable markers, playing cards, large size dominoes, poker-chips, large size Legos, and soft hand size balls or bean bags can help even the most impaired patients engage in sorting activities, simple games, and effort to be creative. Rule of thumb if you would not give something to a toddler it is probably not safe for and ultra senior that can and will eat non-food items.

What is also is NOT needed is fruit, popcorn, candy, cookies, and food that will often result in broken teeth, choking, or esophageal blockage, diarrhea, or acute constipation, blowing up their sugar counts, and attract ants and even rodents. Or cologne or spray deodorizers that can be ingested or cause COPD complications.
