Started a voyage towards placidity
Some got along, some left conveniently
Some left because they never belonged
Some left to hades's call
Is it a season of ashes?

People who stood tall
Are now in a picture hanging by the wall
Dont weep for the martyr who made his nation proud
But support the people who are dumb found
Is it a season of ashes?

Part of their soul, ounce of their memory
Are my companions in solitary,
This weathering can bring maturation
Or consequent ruination
Is it a season of ashes?

Another day in sea with a storm mighty
The oarsman laugh at the almighty
Its not a day to slow down
And definitely not a day to anchor down
Be it the season of ashes

The Poseidon will wrath again
The voyager is impregnable
The best is yet to be achieved
And the worst is yet to come
Be it the season of ashes
