Here are my questions for all of you:

You are meeting with someone for a first date. You have both decided that a local coffee & sandwich shop would be a good place to meet. They have tables both inside and outside. The weather is nice and you have plans on meeting around 1 pm.

Do you select a table inside or outside for the meet? Why did you make this choice?
I love the outdoors - so would prefer an outside table, unless it was a busy street and the conversation would be drowned out from the noise - then I'd opt for inside.

After the initial greet of who you are, what topics do you select to discuss?
It's informal so the conversation in my mind would not be rehearsed, therefore everything platonic. I would however avoid asking very deep or intimate questions, rather keep it light and enjoyable.

How do you let the person know you are interested without using words?
My eyes generally communicate what I am feeling - it is something that is being my control so he would know.

Do you tell the person when there is no connection so that it is clear?
Once again my eyes would betray that, but if he did not understand I would politely say that it was a very enjoyable chat, thank him for taking the time and making the effort, but I did not feel that this would lead to anything more than this coffee.

.. my first of your four questions..

#1.. inside. the lighting is better and if it's a warm day most people are going to be outside.. do not need the added distractions.. I want your attention on me not the crowd.
. are worrying about how . hot you feel. and thinking you're sweating too much... I want you comfortable and relaxed.. and typically it's quieter inside than outside...

I would expect nothing less than for you to draw this out laugh

Nice thoughtful answer no1
