So I have decided to take a major step in my life and form a coven. I'm very open to hearing anyone's thoughts and suggestions on this. I've made up flyers/invitations that I'm giving to specific people and I'm hoping to have our first meeting on the full moon in July.

I remember when this forum used to be hoppin' all the time. Now it's dead most of the time.

And the rest of Mingle is just drama. I mean, there was always drama but it was balanced by lively conversations and learning. Too bad. I guess all good things must come to an end.

Having a coven is a lot of work. I run one here. I've found it rewarding and sometimes frustrating as well. You will have so many personalities mingling. I've got an eclectic group, with heathens and a voodoo practitioner, a priestess of Lilith and several others. I've worked hard to make all welcome, we value each other and everyone's beliefs. Every month, on both full and new moons, I offer a chance for an individual to share knowledge about their faith. It's been very interesting.
Prepare to be a mediator, a guide, a helper, a leader and a voice of reason. I wish you the best of luck!

Would the coven be strictly local or also internet 'meetings'? My path has taken me elsewhere... Though I am not sure WHERE other than the eclectic solitary I have been for some time...

Thank you all for your responses. Over the last 3 months I have started a group. I'm not sure you'd call us a coven or just a group of like minded individuals who get together once a month for study and ritual. I am committed to the group for 6 months and then we will reevaluate. Storm, I have always been solitary so this is interesting. It's strictly local. Not online at all.

While I am learning a lot I don't see myself continuing in the long run. I guess I'm just too much of a hermit.
