Brilliant blue that flickers above the water
A dazzling show that never alters.
Her beauty shines her graceful flight
Never have I seen such a bird what a sight.

As I sit very still underneath the willow tree
For she flickers with her wings not far from me.
She moves so fast dashing from one to another
As the tiny little fish take their cover.

Lily pads still just a stir now and then
What I wonder is underneath them.
A sudden leap a jump so high
He takes his chance as he hears the cry.
For there up pops frogs everywhere
All singing their chorus without a care.

She darts down and moves so quick
Not missing nothing not one trick.
Her courage so big for a bird so small
As i sit and watch with excitement in me.
I hear her sing I hear her call.

Such a amazing beauty but you have to be quick
To watch her here not to miss a trick.
So I hope nothing changes no danger in sight
For the wonderful Kingfisher on her graceful flight
