The US government shutdown - a temporary ailment or a symptom of a grave disease? Are the Republicans right in their move to block Obamacare spending? Who gains from the shutdown turmoil? Do the politicians care about their citizens? Our guest comes from the very heart of the banking system: Karen Hudes was World Bank lawyer when she blew the whistle on major corruption cases in the system and was fired as a result.

While this info is more than a year old, it still holds remarkable validity but is not the whole story.

This whole world's fiat money system has been teetering on the brink of total collapse for quite some time now. It is only the manipulation of the system that has kept it anywhere near staying afloat.

Many are calling for a return to the gold system but is that really the answer. It would be a system much like the one we currently have except now only those that have gold would benefit and others would suffer. The same could be said for silver except silver has a much larger use for manufacturing so it's value would climb exponentially.

But as so few understand the so called money system this world is in for a huge shock. There is no doubt that a collapse of world currencies is in order but few understand or even care to understand the magnitude of this coming event. The only question that really remains is which domino will be the one to start the chain reaction? Will it be England? Or perhaps Japan? Greece had the opportunity but failed. Italy could be a real rallying point or would that be France?

One thing for certain, the US is somewhat shielded from the start, at least for now, because of the Euro-dollar but once it starts will join the fracas with a huge bang. But then, it could be the Euro-dollar that becomes the trigger.

As the not so old English saying goes: "May you live in interesting times", the times to follow may just provide the ultimate definition.
