I can't believe anyone would actually send a DNA swab to a website and not suspect nefarious results of that action knowing the scope of the domestic spying done by our govt

So much for those claiming they have "no fear because they have nothing to hide"

A Fricken mazing! slaphead

i had to take a mouth swab drug test for a job i had, i wonder it thats going to end up in a government database somewhere. i thought about that for a while but from what i read they dont share information with any third parties. but i guess ancestry said the same thing and look what they did. orwellian state here we come.

i wonder if they get your DNA from a mouth swab drug test? something i will have to google.

When I was working in the field, I was the one that asked you to swab and NO we didn't keep them. Those tests cost money and it wasn't cost prohibitive to DNA test everyone... We did the testing and threw away the swab

did you work at a laboratory that processed them, or did you administer the instant tests? mine were sent to a laboratory so who knows what they did with it after they tested it for drugs. i know when jobs to instant tests they throw them away once theyre tested for drugs, but mine was sent to a lab so who really knows what they do with it?

Well chances are nothing more was done.. Most DNA testing is so back logged it is expensive to do.. That is why they charge for it.. I can understand you wondering... Yet I personally think of many nothing things to worry about... Labs are run the same as a lot of mental health clinics.. The almighty dollar is at stake here. So chances are it was tested exactly what they stated and nothing more...
