(CNN)— As Charleston gradually lays to rest
nine shooting victims from last week's church
massacre, a police report reveals self-
confessed shooter Dylann Roof had wanted a
much deadlier weapon.
Earlier this year, he told an officer he wanted
an AR-15 assault rifle.
A search of Roof's car turned up six
crescent-shaped, 40-round magazines in the
trunk.
"That's scary," former U.S. Attorney and State
Law Enforcement Division Director Reggie
Lloyd told The State newspaper, which first
reported the development.
"We ought to be thankful he never got his
hands on an AR-15."

Police had an eye on Roof for months before
he shot dead nine African-American
worshipers in cold blood on June 17. An
officer arrested him on drug possession in
late February.
During the bust, something bothered the
officer. Roof had been asking suspicious
questions at a shopping mall, The State
reported: When does it close? And how many
people work there?
The officer made note of the suspicious
questions in a police report. Roof was
released after the drug arrest on his own
recognizance.
Magazines found
Then, on March 13, the same officer spotted
Roof loitering in his car for hours at a public
park. He was wearing all black, the police
report said.
Because the officer was off-duty at the time,
he alerted another to investigate. The second
officer asked Roof if he could search the car.
Roof complied. That's when the 40-round
magazines turned up.
Roof also had a forearm for an AR-15 in his
trunk. It allows a shooter to more easily keep
a grip on the rifle, as the barrel grows fiery
hot from the shots pouring out of it.""

Gotsta get that sensationalism in there, good Lord...

Yeah I heard that on CNN earlier today and just kinda shook my head. Somehow you're more dead if the weapon used is an AR-15. The .45 slugs at point blank range were not theoretically deadly enough for the ghouls at CNN.

The inference of course is that once he left the church, the AR-15 would have magically propelled him towards the next crowd of victims to run up a body count. Well CNN, I hate to break it to you, BUT he had 4-5 hours on the road where he could have easily accomplished the thing with his Glock.

I am quite familiar with Glocks in 9mm and .40 S&W. I can attest to their ability to toss a large number of rounds downrange in a very short period of time. The problem for Roof is that by walking into a place that is NOT a gun free zone like a mall, he exponentially increases his chances of armed resistance from either a uniformed cop, security person, off duty armed cop, concealed weapon carrying civilian, or even a member of the armed services with above average disarming skills. He fails and likely dies in the process. By going to the church (a gun free zone)he knows the odds are highly stacked in his favour. The kid was homicidal, not stupid.

CNN Claimed to Spot
an ISIS Flag at a Gay

Actually a Drawing of
Sex Toys.

On Saturday, CNN devoted an entire segment
to what it called "an ISIS flag among a sea of
rainbow colors." CNN International's Lucy
Pawle described spotting the flag at a gay
pride march in London. She pronounced it to
be "an attempt to mimic the ISIS flag, the
black-white flag with distinctive lettering."
Upon seeing the flag, she reported it to
nearby police. She noted, however, that if you
"look at the flag closely," you'll see "it's
clearly not Arabic."
Pawle is correct that the flag is not in Arabic.
It is, in fact , not in any language. Rather, it
consists of crude drawings of sex toys.
Pawle was joined by CNN National Security
Analyist Peter Bergen to discuss the matter.
During the segment, the camera panned in
repeatedly on the flag in question. CNN has
not yet commented on the error.""

because an AR is scary looking, like erica holder said theyre going to do whatever they can to make people hate guns. so lets connect "scary" AR's to the case to give it more attention. even though more people are killed by knives every year than AR's, we should ban AR's. and households will only allowed to have butter knives in the house, so long steak dinners... because steak knives and be a "deadly weapon"
