Not everyone on foodstamps are free loading pond scum...in a town like mine an average working class family can barely make it...low wages, overpriced rentals, ect...the rich benefit more off the taxpayers...they get the rent assistant checks...renting dumps alot of peeps wouldnt let a dog live in for obscene amounts ....I think that the welfare system needs a makeover its not just foodstamps....but alot of people dont have a choice ...rich rob poor everyday...

A lot of stuff bothers me.

It bothers me that people post fantasy lie nonsense like this all the time.

It bothers me that some perfectly capable people don't fend for themselves as I do, and that I have to pay for them.

It bothers me that a lot of rich people get extra tax breaks that come out of my pocket, because other rich people claim that if we bribe them enough, eventually they MIGHT hire more of us.

It bothers me that when we do finally try to get a program going to help people who really need help, that the folks who are paranoid about so much as a nickel going to an undeserving poor person, cause tremendous administrative costs to be piled on, and thus eat most of the help money away before any of it can reach anybody.

It bothers me that some people use genuinely needy people as sob stories, in order to win elections or to try to get special programs set up that they can get rich off of administering.

It bothers me that selfish people use any example of abuse of help, to promote the idea that everyone should be discarded, and still pretend that we WONT have to go back to having people die in the streets.

So here in my town they did what would make alot of people happy...they cut off all adults without dependents...or offered a work program that they work 25 hours a week volunteer to receive 189.00 a month in stamps...not enough work available for all that may need assistance...alot seek employment and are denied because of some past indiscretion...they are now voting in a raise to 15.00 an hour min. wage for all city employees...the tax payers still pay the same out in taxes...I guess its for the best though... flowerforyou
