Lived in T.O. for almost 50 years before moving to Ottawa. Lived the 92-93 glory years at the SkyDome, *cough* Rogers Centre. Even have a couple outfield seats from when they demo'd the old CNE stadium.

There's 1,000,000 people who will claim they went to the first game ever for the franchise, but I went to their third game! (lol) Sat on the old football bench seats on the 'newer' south side of the stadium (1st base side)and literally froze my a$$ off.

Got to meet several Jays over the years like Bell, Fernandez, Gruber, Devon White, and have several pieces of memorabilia. Some auto'd 8x10's, bats, balls, etc. Fave piece is a cracked Ernie Whitt bat from spring training. Barrel was taped, and the crack was filled with real Dunedin grass. (lol)

Drank many a beer at the CNE, booed the Yankees, and watched Dave Winfield kill a seagull, and almost get arrested for it! (lol) Watched fan relations go into the dumper when the team went to Skydome, as we basically had to sit on our hands and clap politely, lest the 'aisle Nazi' come along and 'shush' you or threaten to eject you. Heaven forbid you vocally criticize Cito Gaston for not yanking a pitcher soon enough. We were no longer in the world of the $5 general admission seats from Dominion!(lol)

Finally had enough of bad fan relations when during BP, (an hour before the game) I wanted to go from the Blue Jays dugout to the vistors dugout (I think the White Sox) for autographs. The usher, aka 'aisle Nazi' blocked the row behind home plate and said I could not travel that way, as it would disturb other fans. I asked her to please turn around and show me the 'fans' in question, since there were exactly ZERO people sitting in the ENTIRE section behind the plate!!! Insistent, and suggesting I didn't want to cause a problem (or else,) I had to climb the steps from the dugout all the way to the top of the 100 level, and then all the way back down again to the other dugout. No small task if you know the stadium. There is a wide barrier that prevents you from just going up a couple rows and then crossing back over.

I was actually P.O.ed enough to call the team after the game, and they said the usher was right, and just doing her job. No one saw the stupidity of aggressively 'guarding' an empty section of 100 seats as a problem except me. I mean I even had a 100 level ticket for about 12 rows behind the Jays dugout. It's not like I was sneaking down from the 500 level to sit behind the plate. (lol)

Glad to see the team has put together good pitching, hitting, and defence in the proper measures. Past Jays teams always had one or two of the three for a season, but the missing piece was the reason we finished 15 games out of first place every year.

Magic number last last night was 10, so Ok, Blue Jays, let's play ball!

About 3 years ago I got to watch the blue jays vs yankees in TO.. Sat about the 15th row to the left of the catcher, then the next day sat about the same row to the right of the catcher.. What a blast!... the atmosphere was electric on the way to the game, at the game, and after the game.
Hot Dogs; Entertainment; people, people, people..
The Yankee's won both games. an awesome experience to see a major league baseball game.
would love to go to one at yankee stadium
Go yankees! and if they fail, Go Jays!
