If women wanted to ....enhance their natural beauty/ improve their look or are simply doing it to tempt a guy...its fine and a noble gesture. But should'nt they keep it on when climbing into bed with that lucky guy...just saying....pitchfork pitchfork bigsmile bigsmile

Lets be honest not everyone does it for a guy. Come on bro wake up and smell the coffee. Stop dreaming
To leave it on during sleeping is not a good thing.

Okay.. I vote- no pantyhose

I second that one I honestly believe a man that hated women invented those damn things.
Silk stockings all the way or nothing. I learned that back at age 16 and have never gone back.

When I shower I come out and lotion my body which is daily.

I get my hair highlighted about every 4 months to 6 months.

I do love a oil bath and that is on my to do list as soon as able to get in tub and out again. that will be heaven sigh

I do exfoliate my entire body about once a week.
I Wax... hate to shave.. Don't like the razor burns.

I wear Perfume each and everyday.
Lip Conditioner always.

I always wash my face at night right after I brush my teeth and put on night cream.
I actually have been using Amway "Artistry" and love it.

If and when I wear make up I don't wear much and I wear it for me not whom I am with. sorry guys.

I used to have my nails done every ten days like clockwork, then took up quilting that took care of that one. laugh

Avocado oil on hands/body daily
Oil of Olay daily to moisturize, occasionally coconut oil with essential oil
Coconut oil for my hair every other day
I never wear makeup unless going out somewhere at night and I wear it because I like the way it looks bigsmile

What beauty treatments do do do ritually? And how often?

Do you have ones unique to you?

Daily, Weekly, Bi-Monthly, Seasonally etc.

Examples:

Daily-
Olive oil on my face
victim E oil on my lips, hands & feet.

Weekly-
an exfoliant 3 times a week on my face.
That I usually make myself with brown sugar & extra virgin olive oil

Bi- Monthly-
Cuticles & nail buffing & bleaching (laundry bleach)

Monthly-
deep conditioning hair treatment w/animal fat.
Or horse hair conditioner embarassed

Seasonal-
6-8 weeks trim the ends of my hair

What does the wearing of make-up have to do with this post??
It is about skin care rituals, you know, as in what one does to care for their skin?? Regardless if a woman wears make-up or not, good skin care should be a ritual a woman does for herself. If there is a man in the picture they totally benefit from being with a woman with great skin!

As far as the use of make-up goes, I'm usually a minimalist myself but if wearing make-up is what a woman likes to do, so be it.
Obviously, men who prefer little to no make-up on a woman will not be asking women who do wear make-up to go out....geez

I think where the heavy make up comes into play is as we get older it is drilled into our heads we are supposed to compete with the young things that have no wrinkles, bags etc... So some women fall prey to that and then the trowel comes out.

I do remember back in my 20's I wore way more than I do today. Heck I would start with a concealer and go from there. Lord now I can shower, do the make up hair, and walk out the door in heels in about 30 minutes...rofl...

You can tell by now now, heck, I am no expert when it revolves around women's beauty issues etc, but I firmly believe, a woman's inner beauty shines thru and thru, and just adds to her natural beauty, thus eliminating the use of chemically enhanced beauty aids. At the same time I also get , there is a right time to trowel it on!!

It is absolutely amazing that women take all that trouble, to develop a skin care "ritual", just to keep the skin smooth, young lookin etc etc bigsmile and then, some, will ruin the same skin, by applying all those commercial, chemically enhanced aids...the relationship between skin care and make-up is ironic methinks..pitchfork bigsmile

I really don't have a lot of rituals. Drink water. Watch out for a lot sun and wear sunscreen. I don't wear a lot of makeup. My sister is only 2 years older than me, but looks a lot older and some people think she is my mother. She is in the sun all the time with no sunscreen.
