I prefer a lab, however it isnt fair for me to own one, so I gave up trying to have a dog. I live in very rural mountains, a dog will stand its ground, and time after time animals kill it, a dog wont last 1 year, while a cat will run and hide, and cats will survive many years. I had over 15 dogs, before I gave up. they will survive better in more populated areas

South African Boerboel, Rottweiler, the Chinese Shar Pei, and Bull-terriers are the breeds I've owned. However, I feel the safest with the Boerboel because they are highly protective, fearless, and excellent guard dogs! My previous Boerboel saved me in a home invasion. A well-bred Boerboel doesn't need training, they will automatically attack an intruder. And they make excellent family dogs. Presently, I'm on my third Boerboel, who shares bed and table with me:smile: And she sure deserves it! If you want to feel safe in South Africa, once you've owned a Boerboel, you will keep on coming back to the breed. Yep, "Once a Boerboel always a Boerboel." But be warned, they tear the heart out of you when they pass on. And Guess who Cesar Millan's/the Dog Whisperer's favorite dog became? A Boerboel!

My absolute favorite breed is the Labrador Retriever, but I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Dutch Shepard cross that I rescued and he’s awesome.

Cocker spaniel, Beauceron (French Sheppard), Welsh springer spaniel.

To be honest, I fully expected to be matched with a cocker spaniel on here! I seem to attract them when I'm out with my dog (a Staffordshire bull terrier). Not that I'm complaining!

My favorite breeds, among others, are Pit Bulls and Dobermans.

I met the most fascinating people when I took them out.

I have an Albino red nose pit. He’s a male very handsome dog. Fit and very intelligent. Does anyone have an albino red nose out there he can mate with?

I love all dogs, except for yorkies and boxers.... honestly, they dislike me first, I promise haha. I think our personalities clash...my favourites are Huskies, Rottweilers, Doberman, Great Danes, Steffies and Pitties among others..
