Thanks Ms Sassy but Im fine. Spent the last several days with a family member helping that family, and their neighbors out. Managed to lose my cell phone to the floodwaters...(front shirt pockets and boats dont mix )
Water has receded in most areas and clean up has begun...and it will take a while for alot of people.
The family member I helped had their house spared by...and Im not kidding...half an inch...while a neighbor two houses down got a foot or so of water in the house.
All in all, the community pulled together, and still is pulling together to help those in need....which, no matter how much Americans bltch amd moan about everyday bs...is what we do when real $hit hits the fan.
The sun is shining and we're drying out....God bless the National Guard, law enforcement, fire depts, and the multitude of just regular folks who went out of their way to help strangers in need...thats how we roll.
