It would seem to be the first step in tolerating the sodomizing of our children!

It’s not pedophilia anymore, it’s being a ‘minor-attracted person’.

People can classify themselves as heterosexual, homosexual, asexual, metrosexual. There are endless sexual orientations under the sun, and now, pedophilia can be added to the list.

In the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM V), the American Psychological Association (APA) drew a very distinct line between pedophilia and pedophilic disorder. Pedophilia refers to a sexual orientation or profession of sexual preference devoid of consummation, whereas pedophilic disorder is defined as a compulsion and is used in reference to individuals who act on their sexuality.

APA’s decision has given rise to numerous pedophilia-advocacy groups, the chief of them being B4U-ACT, a non-profit grassroots organization based in Maryland. Created in 2003 primarily as a means for “minor-attracted persons” to be open about their sexual preferences in a supportive atmosphere, B4U-ACT is now widening the scope of their organization.

According to spokesperson and registered sex offender Paul Christiano, the pedophilia-advocacy group is “working towards de-stigmatizing the mental health community.” Christiano explained that negative societal attitudes towards minor-attracted persons “trickle down to policy-making and the mental health community.”

“Policy-making” is used chiefly in reference to the sex-offender registry. Christiano is not alone in advocating change within the system. Caitlin Myers, a doctorate student in Sociology here at the University of Southern California, says the registry needs to be “more senstitive to the nature of crime.” Myers explained that the chief problem within the sex-offender registry itself is the “one size fits all” viewpoint it bears towards sexual offenses. “There could be a man who committed 20 consecutive rapes and a 19-year-old boy who had sex with his 17-year-old girlfriend and they would be punished in the same manner.”

Change to the system is understandable, yet B4U-ACT’s grounds for such change remains murky. When questioned about the most responsible way in which a pedophile could manage his sexual preferences, Christiano answered that while B4U-ACT encouraged minor-attracted persons within the organization to openly acknowledge their feelings and desires, such sexual preferences must remain purely a mental exercise and therefore entirely unconsummated. In other words, pedophiles must be allowed to fantasize about minors, as long as such acts are never consummated.

Not lol.. Harmony, you have a consience. You know when to stop. When to count to 10. A person who has this defect in their mind has no such device. That's why I would fight this comming to my state. There are pedophiles who request castration to remove the primary urge to predicate on children. They know the truth.
Encouraging them to mentally excercise is a huge mistake that is equivalent to telling a rapist to keep honing his skills, but don't actually do it, imo.

They get the lurk in the restrooms now, without fear.

I wonder what this means in practical terms?

Or "Hey, old man, look at this picture on the internet, do you think she's hot, pretty, or attractive? Yeah, you guess so? Well, turns out she's 16. You technically have pedophilia. You wouldn't date her, you just think somewhat objectively that she's attractive? Then it's probably not the disorder kid dibbler kind."

Or "Hey, rank these random pictures in terms of attractiveness. Do you realize that you unknowingly put them all in chronological order by age starting with a 14 year old and ending in 18 year old, you 21 year old guy?"

Or "Hey, look at this picture of a newborn, are you sexually aroused? Yeah? F'ing pedo' disorderer!"


And they also get reduced prison sentences and favorable treatment for parole if they choose chemical castration.
And they also know that the chemical castration isn't all that effective and wears off.
IMO there are far more pedophiles who request chemical castration to help their prison sentence rather than to remove the primary urge of child predation.


Some Asian guy came out with some kind of sex doll, and is selling it on the internet, that looks like a kid as a means to help pedophiles work it out of their system "safely" rather than go after real kids.
Guess that's more like a CPR dummy to hone skills when an opportunity presents itself, huh.

Pedophiles have been trying to do this for as long as they've been around. There's no reason to fear that any significant number of non-pedophiles will ever allow them to get away with it.

It is destigmatizing people/ criminals/ perverts/undesirable.
And reclassifing them, as if they are NORMAL & should be tolerated & accepted & understood & have allowances & excuses made for them.

My own attitude about it all, is that I suspect that there may be biological reasons for all sorts of things, including why some people are violence prone. As a society, I would not support any blind allegiance, either to a policy of abject condemnation and limitation of compassion, or to one of acceptance and tolerance.

People who are out of the norm, who do no harm to others, can and should be left unmolested. Those, such as pedophiles, who CANNOT do as they desire without causing injury, should be dealt with in the same manner we deal with all who are incapable of living peaceably with others.
