Donald Trump Shut Down A Liberal TV Host With This Attack On Hillary

Donald Trump provided a glimpse of the “always-stay-on-offense” attitude many of his supporters hoped he would bring into a general election race against Hillary Clinton.

He has refused to play the media’s “gotcha” games — and that makes him a true wild card as a candidate.

But it was when he spun the liberal media’s attacks on him into a zinger against Hillary that turned heads across the political spectrum.

In an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Blizter tried to tar Trump with his past statements about Barack Obama not being born in the United States.

However, rather than accept the left-wing host’s premise, Trump fired back.

Trump pointed out that the origins of the “birther” movement came from the Hillary Clinton campaign in 2008.

USA Today reports:

“Do you know who started the birther movement?” Trump responded after the clip aired. “Do you know who questioned his birth certificate? One of the first, Hillary Clinton. She’s the one that started it, she brought it up years before it was brought up by me.”

It’s a fact the media has long ignored.

The accusations that Barack Obama was born in Kenya originated with supporters of Hillary Clinton during her 2008 primary campaign against then Senator Obama.

Politico reports:

Then, as Obama marched toward the presidency, a new suggestion emerged: That he was not eligible to serve.

That theory first emerged in the spring of 2008, as Clinton supporters circulated an anonymous email questioning Obama’s citizenship.

“Barack Obama’s mother was living in Kenya with his Arab-African father late in her pregnancy. She was not allowed to travel by plane then, so Barack Obama was born there and his mother then took him to Hawaii to register his birth,” asserted one chain email that surfaced on the urban legend site Snopes.com in April 2008.

The liberal media sweeps this theory under the rug and pretends that Republicans were the originators of the attack.

But the truth of the matter is Democrats cooked up the theory Obama was ineligible to serve because he was allegedly born in Kenya.

And in his CNN interview, Trump refused to take the bait and instead turned the tables on the Democrats.

If Hillary tries to attack him for his past “birtherism” statements, he is going to turn it right around on her.

Media members routinely ask Republicans to answer for outlandish statements by even their most obscure supporters, and they usually curl up in a fetal position and absorb the attacks.

If this interview is any indication, Trump will not back down in the face of any smears by Hillary or the liberal media — and instead will hit back twice as hard.

It’s been a generation since the GOP had a nominee who wasn’t afraid to stand up and take the fight to the Democrats.

The empty suits at CNN (the "Clinton News Network"), and the **** Wolf Blitzer in this case to be exact, are so stuck on their canned talking points against Trump they don't even bother to recall or qualify historical fact and it comes back to bite them at nearly every turn thanks to their ignorance and arrogance.... and that of their Queen bee

He does the same thing as any politician.
He's not refusing to play "gotcha" games so much as just pushing his own agenda no matter what is asked of him.

I find it especially hilarious that people think this matters much:

It only really matters if it's true.
And if it was true it's kind of like comparing a campaign smear to McCarthyism.
Sure, Hillary's camp may have started the rumor...but Trump's camp took it to an extreme.

Hillary: "My competitor is a commie pinko, vote for me if you want a real American!"
Trump: "I'm heading a program to arrest, question, and blacklist Hillary's competitor whom we suspect of being communist. I'm even offering a reward for information. But this is Hillary's fault. Does anyone remember she started this?!"


I think this should be amended to "It's been a generation since the GOP had a nominee who wasn't afraid to so obviously sling mud and build lies upon the democrats lies."
