Ever since I can remember-
I waited for the day,
When I could look into your eyes
Filled with love and say;

This is the very moment that-
I've waited for so long,
But when that moment finally came-
something was so wrong.

We held hands and said the vows,
Promised to be true-
But in my heart I want to leave,
Because I'm alone with you.

The bills get paid,
We go to work-
Do things married people do;
But the passion is always missing-
When I'm alone with you.

For once I'd like you to let go,
To touch, to feel, to taste....
All that trapped inside my heart,
Is slowly going to waste.

Everyday is so mondane-
There's nothing I'd like more,
Than to feel your arms around me;
When you walk thru that door.

But you'll peck me on the cheek,
asking "how was your day?"
It was good and how about your?
Thats what we always say.

And while I lay in bed tonight.
In the silence I can break thru-
I'll wonder how long this can last,
When I'm so alone with you.
