Many will use this tragedy as an excuse to condemn the BLM movement

BLM has condemned this tragedy as well

A shooter opened fire on police in Dallas Thursday night following a Black Lives Matter protest, leading the group -- formed in the wake of several high-profile shootings of black men by police in 2014 -- to officially condemn the action

Black Lives Matter released a statement on its website decrying the violence.

'As we have done for decades, we marched and protested to highlight the urgent need to transform policing in America, to call for justice, transparency and accountability, and to demand that Black Lives Matter. In Dallas, many gathered to do the same, joining in a day of action with friends, family, and co-workers. Their efforts were cut short when a lone gunman targeted and attacked 11 police officers, killing five. This is a tragedy-both for those who have been impacted by yesterday's attack and for our democracy.'

The group also made clear in its statement that the tragedy in Dallas should not lead to an end of the discussion of police violence against the black community.

Accounts of the protest Thursday night showed a peaceful crowd that worked with the police to ensure the safety of those involved. There were even pictures of protestors posing with the assembled officers.

IMO this tragedy isn't necessary to condemn the BLM movement.
It's pretty condemnable on its own merits.

Accounts of the protest Thursday night showed a peaceful crowd that worked with the police to ensure the safety of those involved.

The BLM people always "say" they're peaceful.
But so many times they choose not to be.
Last night there was a BLM protest here in Phoenix.
They "said" they were going to be peaceful, they "said" they were just going to follow a certain route.

Then they decided to head towards the interstate.

The BLM "says" things, but then does something else, and blames others for what they choose to do.

The BLM is like the 4 year old sitting next to you on the bus with their finger near your ear saying "I'm not touching you! I'm not touching you!" for 6 hours and when you push their finger away they cry their finger is broken and you violated their civil rights and you're a racist monster.

you realize the BLM is millions of individuals organizing hundreds of events all over?

and some events that are organized by some are misguided

but MOST are peaceful and orderly, just like the one where this tragedy occurred, whose organizers worked with police on and whose organizers condemned the violence,,,
