Being too much of a tight *** to upgrade I have realised the secret of success is matching in order to find the zillion guys who have seemingly pressed yes on my photo (yeah right).

First few days I attempted it on the laptop but though I can see the photos ok there's no helpful blurb for when you need a little extra help with such an important decision. Hell you could say 'no' to your soulmate just cos he looked grumpy in his photo and he thought he was giving it a sexy sultry look.

Soooooo...tried it on the phone. Great. You get to see the blurb. Trouble is the text is so faint it screws with your eyesight. But some guys really do put the effort in with their profiles which makes you reevaluate their photo. I love a joker bigsmile

But is it me being lazy but it is such hard work!!! Swipe/press/swipe/press/swipe(eyes getting heavy)swipe/press(OMG I just pressed yes when it was a definite No dammit)swipe/press/swipe/press(wakes up to a loud bleep - oooh it's a match)checks match u-oh nup that's the one I meant to press no to and he's already sent mail...mmm I'm the one he's been looking for all his life blah blah blah. Scammer alert!!!mad

Not complaining though - good site and I'm sure there are some real genuine people looking for love on here....somewhere huh

Happy matching guys flowerforyou

I am also too much of a tight *** to upgrade as well for the magical secret to success booklet and guide to life to find clicked their mouse on me to say 'YES'. I do agree that that this is really hard work and you go cross-eyed no matter which device you are using. It is an endless battle we are facing....yes, no, or maybe.
I hope that we all have good luck in all of endeavors, especially in the game of love.

I'm old enough to remember the earliest days when people began to imagine a world of computer-matching and dating. The theme of that era was always that "computers will revolutionize everything and make it all PERFECT!!!" After all, we'd just won a World War using rudimentary ones, and every day newer ones were taking us to the moon, establishing newer more instant world communications, and so on. There were an assortment of comedies and even dramas on the tele, wherein computer matched people struggled to understand why things weren't working out, despite the magic of maths.

Very soon, the entire idea of computer matching fell into such disrepute, that everyone connected desperation to their opinion of anyone who decided to risk it. That, or abject foolishness. It's only in the last decade or so,that I've started to see any significant number of people even offering respect to the idea of using computers and computer "aps" to accomplish such.

By now, the general sense of things is always that "this should work, and work much more easily than this!" Everyone is by now, used to being able to point and click for everything from pizza, to job applications, to scheduling complicated travel.

What's amusing to me in retrospect, is how the present generations struggling with online dating and mating, have forgotten entirely that as with everything else about humanity, it's the fundamental nature of us BEING PEOPLE which controls everything, and not the mechanisms and applications we use to try to get what we want.

All a long way of sympathizing and trying to encourage. On the down side, it's all still those darn PEOPLE messing everything up for us. On the other hand, it's those same potentially delightful PEOPLE, who we are only now able to interact with far more readily (sometimes TOO readily) than ever before.

Hmmmm yes PEOPLE. But I fear for the future of the human race.

I saw a group of young guys sitting on a bench in the sunshine. You know how hot days seem to bring out the worst in guys..

A really sexy young girl was walking towards them in skimpy shorts swinging her long hair.

I smiled to myself remembering my youth and how I missed those days of being whistled at and called Blondie and all that lovely leering that I was horrified by at the time..

So she walks past these guys and I'm waiting for nature to take it's course. Not so much as a 'Corrrrr'. They didn't even notice her. All had their heads bent staring at their stupid phones. Probably rating some photo-shopped bimbos when they could have feasted their eyes on the real thing in front of them!!!!

Or maybe they were matching on Mingle2???bigsmile

It's quite straightforward noway

You'll notice a heading 'Match' with a number next to it which is how many people have taken a shine to your photo. But unless you upgrade and pay you will need to play a game of Russian Roulette by feverishly matching till your thumb drops off and if you hit yes on a lady who matched with you you get a notification you are matched. Then love can bloom - allegedly happy

It gets tedious so make sure you get hold of a couple of matchsticks to prop your eyelids open laugh

Maybe they know that paying attention to a live woman is liable to get them in jail nowadays. Young men are increasingly aware of the legal ramifications of their behavior toward the opposing gender.
Any woman can yell 'rape' and be believed by a million white knights and mengina.
They did well keeping their eyes down to their phone. I'm proud of them.

"You know how hot days seem to bring out the worst in guys."
I wasn't aware of that fact. Can you explain how guys act differently in hot versus cold weather?

Just an observation - maybe it's because I am from the UK so most of the time the weather is pretty dull. So when the sun comes out to play car windows are wound down, radios start blasting and the guys seem to come alive and have an extra twinkle in their eyes. But it could be more to do with the fact that the heat equates to ladies shedding their jumpers and jeans and daring to slip on the skimpy stuff laugh

I think your second guess is on the money. Guys merely react to what they see and as far as fashion there ain't much to see in winter

Good Morning,

Thank you for the laughs...
And oh yes those were the days when we knew we looked good and we knew the effect we had on guys when we walked past...
Things sure have changed...
I think I will always miss the "real world" effect instead of the cyber.

Match well I am not good with them I don't look... The same with the nudges rarely do I look at them.
