It is possible for a man to be just friends with a woman and not want anything else from her.
But if you want more from him, and remain friends while pretending you don't want anything more but are secretly hoping he will change his mind... then you are heading for disaster.
The chances of someone changing his mind and suddenly waking up and thinking "Oh my god, I love her!" are very slim.
You could trigger sexual feelings, that shouldn't be too hard to do. A man can easily have sex without wanting more from a woman. But then you'd end up getting hurt even more.

So if it is a case of you wanting more from a man and he doesn't, it may be smart to not try and just be friends. Why upset yourself all the time and spend time with someone who just wants to be your friend and not what you want him to be for you? THat's like banging your head against a brick wall for fun.
