besides the usual someone asking for money or credit card info.. is there another way to find out if someone is a scammer on here?

yes or just talking to you for a while then exchanging numbers and texting and calling each other, and then they just stop every thing

There is no real way to tell if someone's profile is fake or not. I have chatted with a few women here and ended up texting with them, but shortly they were asking me to send them money or buy them various gift cards. So, unfortunately, you can't know if they are scamming you or not until you chat with them awhile.

Some posts had been deleted because, although helpful, they were also helping scammers become better scammers.

All members should have received an automatic e-mail concerning this issue and how to deal with it. If you haven't read it, we urge you to read it.

We are really sorry that you are running into this issue. The Site has a Report/Abuse System in place that all members are required to use to report such issue.

If you do not know how to report you can use the e-mail they sent you look to the bottom right click on Report/Abuse/Spam and follow the directions. These reports go straight to Admin. Mods do not handle Scammers only Admin does.

Another way you can report them is on their profile to the right you will see Report This User click on that and follow the instructions.

We rely on members to help us by reporting them. Many do slip by us and we need members to help by reporting.

We ask that the Forums not to be used for this problem due to we have a Report System which is noted in the Forum Rules.

With that said this thread is being locked. We ask that all Members use the Forums strictly for getting to know those that post within the forums.
