After a few years of scraping by with an associates degree in drafting, I have decided to go back to school. I have narrowed my degree options to two choices, Visual Communication or Construction Management. My problem is; I don't know which to pick. Visual communication suits my personality well and pays decent. I'd really enjoy it, but i'm not sure what the demand is going to be for people with this degree in the next few years. Construction management pays better and I have some connections to help get me in a large construction company after I graduate. I'm capable of being a construction manager, I'm not sure if I want to do it the rest of my life. Does anyone have insight on either degree or connected careers that may hep my decision?

Derrick,

Unless you're really into Construction, I'd advise a long hard look at my field, before going there.

It has degenerated into an industry of infantile, unqualified mechanics with many baby sitters.

It's increasingly difficult to accomplish goals in timely and economical ways anymore without becoming entangled in daily nightmares. Be warned, it's not for the faint of heart, but the advancement potential and access to markets, talents and skills could catapult you into the money if played well.

Good Luck, young buck!!smokin drinker bigsmile
