If it's one sided get out of Dodge sharpish.

Have a purpose to your life.
Build goals around that purpose, especially those the fulfillment of which ultimately require another person.
Find another person with similar purpose to/in their life, whose goals need another person, and you're abilities/purpose help fulfill them.

That's probably the easiest way where you'll get closest to some kind of guarantee for longer term.

If the relationship is one-sided, it is heartache waiting to happen.
Don't waste your time trying to make him love you... he will just use you
until the love of his life comes along, and drops you like a hot potato.

He is not just into you sorry to say... best to move on.

I agree with rosie. It's best to put your energy into someone who feels the same way rather than sell yourself short.

You're young, pretty and have your whole life ahead of you. Embrace that and best wishes to you.

Find someone with compatable values,goals and lifestyle , who shows with his actions that he cares for you as much as you care from him.

There are no guarantees in relationships , even if you do all the right things, but doing what everyone said here is really allyou can do.

Dump his lame a** and hook up with his best friend. Slice the tires in his car and spread as many rumors about him as you can. It will make you feel good.

To be "the one" for someone else, be yourself..

There is nothing you can do to become the one if you're not already the one. You move on and find someone who you fit and vice versa.

What happens when you find a pair of shoes you really like that are too small? Do you cut off a couple of toes?

Well, one of the toughest lessons that is good for all of us to learn, but is also a bit on the unpleasant side, is that you can't MAKE yourself be The One for someone, such that they will never find someone else. You can only be truly yourself, and HOPE that they want you as their mate. If you fake anything to win them, it will usually cause you to lose them in the end.

On the good side of this, what I have always found,and seen in others as well, is that there is nothing more exciting and wonderful,than the discovery that someone loves you as much for your "defects," as for your wonderfulness.
