we live in a country where college campuses put tampon dispensers in men's bathrooms because some freak refusing to accept he's a guy claims he has a period...kids get sent home from school for wearing a shirt with the american flag on it because illegals were offended...its Texas they don't care they do what they want...the biggest thing under discriminatory assault in this country is reality...new york city protects and acknowledges 31 genders but you can't have a gun or a 20 oz soda...so Texas wants to discriminate against non-christians well la dee da I'm a non-christian and couldn't give a rats a$$ about it...now what's the constitutionality of it...I do not know

If they are a privately funded/private businesses, I would have no problem with any discrimination.

If they're receiving government money, I can see the supreme court going after them and saying they can't discriminate, and I personally would have no problem with anti discrimination/church separation laws being enforced.
You take the money, you have to follow the rules.

If it's ultimately a choice between the kids get adopted through discriminatory means, or kids stuck in the foster system or worse, or not being adopted, then I have no problem with discrimination.

If there are other agencies that do/don't discriminate also working on getting the children adopted (the adoption agencies don't own the kids, or keep them in the basement, having the only access to the kids), I have no problem with one particular adoption facilitating institution discriminating.

If they were the only adoption agency, kinda owned the children, sorta kept them in a basement and only sold them to the "right" buyers, while being funded by the state, I would have a problem with discriminatory practices.

I did not think the adoption agencies ...
where privately owned ...
but don't know the answer to that ...

I still think it should be under a matter of discrimination ...
becouse if any of them are doing this falls on discrimination...
least in my view ... they could be depriving...
a child of a good home ...

I believe there should be a range of diverse options

there are always guidelines, whether it be based in what income is determined sufficient or what credit or criminal background is insufficient

agencies have to 'discriminate' in terms of the sector they are attempting to serve and how they feel the sector is best served

there is a certain amount of public funding even in 'private' agencies, but these are just more places that can help a child into a good home, which is the whole point, regardless of individual guidelines they may hold

and there are plenty of public agencies to go to for those who do not fall into 'private' agency criteria,,,,

Hmm. I suspect I'll get dinged for this, but I can't resist, since it's true: many people in Texas are sure that Texas is NOT in the United States.

I think people in California think in the same way.

The thing about Texans, and it pisses others off,is that we are always right.tongue2
