I have never liked the concept of a nation trying to outsource law enforcement to amateur for-profit people. Every year, there are multiple reports like this, of professional bounty hunters either causing death and destruction, or just disrupting and confusing the local societies they practice in, by giving the appearance of being terrorist vigilantes or criminals themselves.

I think it's yet another of a long list of bad political moves, that politicians make to pretend that they are doing the job they were voted into power to do, without raising taxes enough, or passing the laws required to actually do the job.
