I think at the root of it all , is a world wide culture of EXTREMISM , with a compulsion to classify one view as sanctimoniously RIGHT and a contrasting view as sinisterly WRONG. The messy reality that many will not accept, is that truth is seldom linear or monolithic. Two opposing views CAN actually hold equal weight and credibility, and in many cases , DO. Two contrasting opinions can be right. Two contrasting opinions can be wrong. Or in some cases, two contrasting opinions can just be DIFFERENT. and that is where good old common sense comes in. Unfortunately, some have it and some don't

Unfortunately, some have it and some don't I think the more practical someone is the More common sense they have. I've met plenty of university type people. that are so stupid
