I'm looking for someone to teach the Gua sha massage to because I am in need of it. I can't seem to find anyone in my area who I can teach it to properly. I injured my back awhile ago and I have bad knots all over my back. Gua sha originates from china and goes by kerokan in Indonesia and cao gio in Cambodia. It is a kind of massage where red bruising marks are made on the back. This is so tight muscles can release and lactic acid can be forced out of the area. This can be used on other areas of the body, such as if you have scar tissue from surgery somewhere or loss of mobility in an arm or leg. It's good for cellulite too. The fascia blaster is similar to this technique, but this technique is thousands of years old and goes much deeper into the muscles. Anyone feel free to post if you're close to Grand Rapids, mi. If not, I'd still be willing to chat!
