I am (just barely) of the last generation who can remember "Drive In Movies".

I remember drive-in movies but probably about 13 years old the last time I went to one. Much too young to be kissing in a car. There are still some drive-ins around the country.

Around the same age, maybe a year older. It wasn't me driving or the "very first" kiss, but one of them. I'm glad I caught at least the tail end of this moment in history. The last time I think they were replaying "American Grafitti".

The Cherry Bowl Drive-In is just outside of Traverse City, MI where I raised my sons. It's still up and running. I used to take my sons to it, there was a little mini-golf course too.

Lots of fun... But no kissing, not with the boys there.

As I remember, there were separate sections for the young couples and the families. ...and it was rarely about the movie itself.

It was about smacks OR snacks, and fun depending on which demographic.

"The Movies"..well they were secondary...either on those tinny speakers or draining your car battery playing the radio.

Ooops! Guess it's a good thing I went with the kids instead of a date.... The movie was what I went for slaphead

If I ever get a chance to go again, with a date... I'll have to make sure it's something I've already seen laugh blushing
