I'm not much of a texter. I'll use it for a quick question here or there. Getting to know someone I find it difficult. The swritten word can get misconstrued if someone doesn't know you well. I think when talking to friends or someone casually texting is usually the rule of thumb but if I’m serious about a guy I’m going to pick up the phone and call and vice versa I agree with this! I tend to do this! :  Great minds think alike
