yes love makes me miserable that time because he broke my heart into pieces. my life my world belongs to him but his worls not belongs to me and it was so hurt i felt dumb.. but after years i realized that love is all i need.... and it begins to my self.
i think that the most painful things inlife is losing the one you value. the truth is the most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of valuing someone too much and forgetting that you are special too...

So, basically, love didn't make you miserable?
It was your own expectations of love which made you miserable, right?
So, if you are/were miserable, it wasn't love it was you making yourself miserable?
Erm, is that right?
Help me understand...

Ya. You are right. Two contradictory things I read. So help us understand, dear Rin

personally when they seem to be stuck ...
they seem to drown in their misery ... you can try to help them ...
and support their feelings ...
but you can not change them ...nothing you say seems to help ...

gets tiring hearing the same stuff from them ...

but if they are your friend ... then all you can do is listen ...
and know they will change when their ready or never change ...

thats what I believe ...

This phenomenon is part of what eventually led me to recognize that the core drive of most humans, is to feel and think that they are on the right track, regardless of what that means.

Miserable people who want others to agree with their misery, are a prime example.

They seem happy to be miserable, because they are happy about thinking they are RIGHT to be miserable. Their misery confirms that they didn't misunderstand the world, even if they actually have done.

The worst way this affects the rest of us, is that some who have concluded that "the world sucks," use that conclusion to lift all restraint from themselves, and to allow themselves to behave abominably to the rest of us.

But again, the reason why some miserable people seem to be pleased to be miserable, is that they very much are pleased. In short, it boosts their ego, to feel correct, so they actually work to insure they remain miserable.

I think that Rin is offering us an example of unrequited love and how this made her feel miserable in the end when she finally realised that her love was not mutual. Now, you can say it wasn't love that made her miserable but rather not being loved equally in return but this is probably nit-picking, especially in the case of someone whose first language isn't English.
