never let your head down being alone only means you get to spoil yourself! buy yourself some gifts make a meal find a movie and be happy! think of some past happy momants,love yourself for the holidays!your never alone!

This is my second year alone....doesn't feel any easier than last year....at least I'm getting things done around the house...

I have been alone for the holidays a few times...for me it's just another day...

I don't have a problem spending holidays alone...this is my 2nd X-mas alone and actually I'm looking forward to it..I'm going to take a bubble bath, give myself a pedicure and manicure...facial ya know, all that "girly" stuff...maybe curl up to a good book..then if the "mood" strikes me maybe catch a movie...see, I have something to look forward to..

I am not into the "hustle and bustle" with the shopping thingy!!...it over stimulates me, what, with the crowds...just isn't my cup of tea...I haven't even been to the mall in 2 months...stayin' clear away from that mad house..

On that note however: I wish everyone here and their families a Merry Christmas..

Moodygrl....your like me....I've been keeping away from all the crowds at malls....thanks for your advice....I plan to make year two a good one....I picked up some videos, lit some candles....made myself a cranberry martini....and in a little while stretch out on my couch....sounds relaxing....all my friends & family are home with theirs....think i'll take a shower first....fill up that glass....

Having a hard time also.
Been alone for past holidays but this year I thought was going to be better.
Met some one from this site in August, been together since.
Last week I was blindsided as I found out he was a cheating liar.
The betrayal and hurt is making this week almost unbearable.
Luckly I have great friends that stay close for support and shoulders to cry on.

well your not alone and it does suck, i have done this for 8 years in a row, and it doesn't get easier, i was hoping to actually atleast have a date or something lined up for the new years, with no apparent luck, so alas i will spend this new years probably sitting at home, or asleep, i feel your pain, but thats why we are here, to make something happen, i will definitely not be single by the end of next year if things go my way.

just keep your head held high, and it will happen for you....
