The day before Easter

I remember childhood just as if it were yesterday ,it was Christmas and we had one of those aluminum trees with a light that sat on the floor that had four different colors and it turned like a fan and changed the colors of the tree It was such a magical feeling and me in my pajamas with the little feet in them hoping that Santa clause would know that I’d been a good boy

Easter was a good time too ,I always woke up and the Easter bunny had came and he always left me colored eggs and a basket filled with goodies and I believed I even seen little bunny foot prints leading away from our front door because I always looked

I once was sitting in church on an Easter Sunday being a bit squirmy after Sunday school and I remember granny pinching my leg so I’d keep still ,she was a saint and I loved her dearly ,she had the smell of peppermints and she always had a pretty embroidered handkerchief to wipe her eyes when she would cry

I never knew until now why she was crying ,because I’ve felt the love of God in me the same as she once did

Tomorrow will be another Easter Sunday and I’ll be here thinking about my loved ones that are no longer here with me and the beautiful memories that I had when I was just a child

Hi Gary. I am new here but been writing since 1979 so believe me when I say, I have no words to say...about that piece of prose.
'Nice' doesn't cut it.
