New to this. now that I'm 54, it's a while different scene. I am very annoyed by the fakes on here. so annoyed, that the first question I ask when they contact me is "Are you real or here to get people to join your site? "

would also appreciate some veteran insight to why so many want to chat elsewhere...WhatsApp, cell phone #, hangouts, etc.
pros and cons? Any harm in trying that? I haven't, but my thought is they can always be blocked from these same as I do here. not sure if it is a security threat to chat via phone, hangouts or Whatsapp though.

I appreciate all constructive criticism and no need to hold back I can take it.

I'm not going to critique your profile there are other people that are brilliant at that. But, I will say block the unsavoury folk. Unfortunately, it may feel personal, but it's really not. The authentic folk are more than happy to strike up a genuine conversation here on M2. Whatever happens after that is up to you...

My experience has been if within the first couple of txts they ask to go elsewhere it's a scam or porn site. I think it's best to go with your first guy instinct.
As for critic your profile for best results I'm not qualified. Good luck!

Photos ok, interests ok, but your write up is rather negative, not good when you want to impress someone.
