I like silly stuff when I am in need of cheer. Draw a silly picture letting her know that you care and are there for her, nothing heavy, make her smile.

Hmm need a LOT more details..thats too "general". Where do you live (area, scenery) what are some special things she likes?

Give those details and can give you some nice ways to put a smile on her face and warm her heart...which in turn does that for you when you see it happen. bigsmile

well sumthing, that's a bit of the problem, she lives around 90 minutes from me (she's goes to college near me) so for the next month or so, i see her once, maybe twice, a week.

when I need cheering up I want that arm around me or that closeness that means so much to me. Depends on what she likes or how she is we are all different I can only speak of what works for me

OK, so whats got her "down" right now? And still let me know the areas scenery. Also, when you see her, do you go there or does she come to see you?

I ask specific questions, because a LOT of different scenerios can be done. I get a lot of compliments on the "example" of my type of romance in my profile. I have thousands! I'm a romantic at heart. So I think I can at least give you some help in advise, I just need more details to be able to paint a romantic picture for your situation with her. bigsmile

(yes, actually a man that puts time into thinking about how to be romantic! no! I'm NOT gay! laugh )

well her grandmother recently passed away (on christmas day no less)
we live pretty much in the suburbs, i mean, both our towns are fairly sizeable, but we could get to "the country" quick and without problem. we usually alternate i go see her, she comes to see me, etc.

OK, then since she had a loss like that, the best advise I could give would not be "romance", but more of "comfort" for the most part right now. The stress of the holidays and the loss of a loved one, usually pushes back any "romantic" types of interest.

Give her maybe a special small gift. Like a locket. if you can get a picture that was of her and her grandmother, that would be perfect. if not, then just one of her grandmother.

Take her out to the country, maybe someplace that overlooks the city lights. Then just have her sit in front of you, let her lean back on you and you just hold her. maybe talk about the good times she had with her grandmother. That helps to give her happy thoughts and its also a way of her being able to greive and put a more subtle closure. Then give her the gift, after you feel the talking is done. Then just sit and hold her and watch the city lights together.

You both will remember that time. flowerforyou

When she comes home from work have some Marvin Gaye playing softly in the back round. Take her shoes off and lead her to the bathroom where you already have the candles lit around the tub.(insert rose petals and aroma therapy in water) Massage her back as she lavishes in the hot water and bubbles. Bring her her robe and take her to the table, pull out her chair, and serve her the 5 course meal that you've prepared for her. Have a little wine, and it's on!

Think of something from the heart, maybe. Like a poem, for instance.

Put her picture in the paper (in the 'Happy Ads') and write something that only you and she would understand
