My question is the goverment are they just trying to control us? If they really cared about heatlh wouldnt they just ban cigarettes?Yes i am a smoker don't I have any rights left?I will say i have been to a bar since the ban.First of all there weren't too many people there. So now the air is clean, but i noticed we now get to smell B.O! spilt beer all over the place! Also the dude sitting next to me farted and that was far worse then any nonsmoker breathing in cigarette smoke! Does anybody agree with me when i say whats next? I know i will proabably get ripped for posting this but who cares!

what the should do is enforce better ventilation in those establishments.

it's a bar, you should be free to smoke. but as a nonsmoker, i should also be free to breathe

I totally agree with you 100 percent.Smokers have rights too, just like nonsmoers do.
One can get cancer by breathing in all the pollution caused by motorists and truckers on the road, then from second hand smoke. It is all about BIG BROTHER,sticking their nonses in where they dont belong.
Let us live our lives as we see fit,and all the other rabblerousers should,GET A LIFE!!!

the government should have no say in what goes on in a private establishment, period

I dont smoke, use to before my kids. I think its a great thing, nonsmokers dont want to smell that **** may as well smoke if your gonna have someone elses smoke going in your lungs. Smoking kills why should it be allowed. Maybe this will help smokers quit.

because in america we're supposed to have freedom of choice and will, and it is unjust for you to impose your choices on another. it's unamerican to believe anything but that

Talk about getting ripped. Wait for the response to this.
There was a drug called Ephedra, and it killed about 20 people. As a result, they pulled it from ALL shelves and banned it forever. Cigarettes are responsible foe tens of thousands, yet remain for sale. Cash is KING baby.

It was VERY easy for me to quit...I did the day I found out I was pregnant. I had 2 1/2 packs of cigs in my pocketbook....just threw them out. It was a terrible addiction....anyway. Now 22 years later...still not smoking.

I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, but I don't think it's any of my business if someone else does.

I think alcohol is a much bigger problem than smoking -- I never hear any stories about a guy smoking six cigarettes and then plowing his car into a school bus. I find it disturbing when someone smoking a cigarette has to jump through hoops just to avoid "offending" anyone, while an infinite number of drunks are allowed to run around completely unregulated, killing thousands and crippling thousands more.

I don't know what they're planning in the future for smokers -- how much more can they do to them? -- but I'm really glad I never started!

Nobody will quit just because you cant smoke in public. In Chicago you cant drive and talk on your cell phone, are you gonna stop talking on a phone because of that?I understand where nonsmokers are coming from, but i will ask when the goverment bans something that affects you dont ask for my support!!! I am making my voice heard but not going to bars! After all this ban goes against what AMERICA is supposed to stand for!

I totally agree with the ban.

Not only do those of us who don't smoke don't have to smell like all those who do (I used to smoke and ya .. it's disgusting =( sorry =)

but we're giving everyone just ONE MORE INCENTIVE to quit and perhaps add 10 years onto your lives bigsmile

It is perfect, all it says is dont bother others with it like children. The fact that they didnt ban them shows you have rights just like the people who have a right to go out and not be bothered by someone elses smoke. Whats so hard about being courteous to others.
