ppl do too many 'universal' romantic scences...I find the best way to be romantic to the other person is after you get to know then more initmately.......then the 'type' of 'setting' you would use--has more meaning behind it

For me, there's nothing more romantic than writing a song for a special lady and performing it for her.

OH Pete any woman would love that a song was written just for her

Okay for those who are musicians how about this

IN the summertime pack a picnic basket, fave drink
don't forget that guitar, find a waterfall, and sing to your partner. Oh and a blanket to sit on.

Ok this one is created for Muddysneakers and it won't be an universal romance scene.

Hmmmmmm since I don't know much about him will do one for animal lovers.

If your living with the love of your life, and you know that he or she wants a puppy really bad do this.
Go to your local animal shelter, and watch closely which one tugs at their heart strings. Choose this puppy. Next stop the pet store, buy all the necessary things that a puppy will need. Go home spend the day with the puppy. You will love the the feelings that will be sent your way.

or

Spend the day at the zoo or the aquarinum.
Walk hand in hand, taking your time, buy the special feed that is allowed to be fed to the animals/fish. Make sure to stop in the gift shop to get a silly memento of the day. Have someone take a picture of the two of you. Enjoy a dinner out, go home and unwind in each others arms.

Hmmm another idea would be to

create a gift basket filled with things you know your partner will enjoy, have it delivered to their work, arrive home early make a special dinner, and just enjoy the evening together

I want to spend time together having fun. I'm not too big on classic rommance I guess. Lets have a picnic on a dock. And fish. As long as I don't have to kill the worm. Do little things for me. Bring me something to sit on. Take my hand & help me up.
Be sweet. Be funny. Look at me like you are mesmorized.

Rose petals spread throughout the room. And this doesn't mean in the bedroom necessarily, either. flowerforyou

* My guitar talking in a language that transcends mere spoken English...

* Fire going in the fireplace.. (On a cold night in the Wisconsin house... Patio lights on, on a nice night in the Florida house!)

* Dinner that we either A)made together or B)planned together.

* Thoughtful conversation during dinner, music in the background.

* A walk on the beach, barefoot, at the Florida house. A movie on the home theater that we both want to see, but haven't, at the Wisconsin house.

I had experienced this date 7 years ago and it still resonates with me now at this time.

Lunch in Ogunquit, Maine over the ocean. I could reach down and pick up large rocks, dabbling my fingers in the icy waters..feeding a pesky seagull.

Walk up the path along the cliff, sitting on benches that had small deication plague and laughing that knowing 'life is odd' laugh'..for seeing the same man with two differ ladies names on each..Watching the waves crash upon small boulders, watching tourists running from the spray.

Watching the sun move effortlessly across the sky..
becoming lightly sunburnt, drunk in our laughter.
