Has anyone ever been to an Endocrinologist?
My OB-GYN is sending me to one after doing an MRI to view my ovaries. An ovary is supposed to be the size of an almond, but each of mine are the size of a softball. I had surgery in May of last year to remove my ovaries, but said he never found them. Called it exploratory surgery, after he didn't find them. How could he miss something that big????
If anyone knows anything, I'd apperaciate any help you might be able to offer.
Thank you.

Do you still have both kidneys? "Exploratory" surgeries aren't meant to be anything but that. Your surgeon was looking for abnormal growths on your ovaries - that's what wasn't found, I'm sure...was the surgery performed in your house by chance by a doctor with no cred's?

The endocrine glands include the thyroid, parathyroid, pancreas, ovaries, testes, adrenal, pituitary and hypothalamus. These glands creat hormones.

I know what an endocreologist is for, I have just never been to one. And have no clue as to what to expect.
The only thing besides the ovaries that can be removed without putting something back is my appendix. Everything else has already been removed. I do not have any female orgons other then the ovaries, and no gallbladder, no tonsils.
Thanks Merlot.
