I'm ever so tired
So I lay my head down
Only to lay here with my mind running around
I cannot sleep
It never seems to come
I am becoming undone
Head aching
Eyes burning
For sleep I am yearning
To slip into the realm
Of dreams delight
Tis all I wish for on this night
Yet I know
That when I climb into my bed
I will not be able to shut off my head

Been there too many times myself ccp!!! That's when poetry is
written!!! When head and heart run wild together! Nice!!!

let them ride,like a rider on horse,
free in the winds of your open hearts and sleepy dreams!!!

As dawn approaches
I fear the sun
for the night is o'er and
I've had no sleep, and no more to come
The day is bright
shining with the sun
it burns my eyes, and the night is done
Body restless as I turn on the pot
coffee brewing, oh so hot
maybe it's liquid will awaken
this languid body, aching so much
from tossing and turning
no dreams ever come
but thoughts of you overwhelm my mind
did you sleep
did you dream of me
thought I heard you calling out my name
I drink and sit and watch the sky, colors changing
hues red and blue
clouds moving, wishing i was closer to you
I hear the rousing of children
I have to go and stop this yearning
You arent here, and I must go it alone
but i know tonight
I'll hold you close
if only I could dream...
