Is it really odd that a mixed race female is good at horseback riding and on the equestrian team? Why is it that I get such weird looks because of my race and liking horses and enjoying riding them? And then to top it off I'm good at it and the looks get worse?

Oh by the way after reviewing the rules, i realized I may have come off as pity-seeking, I dont want pity. I was just curious as to why it seems so odd to most people, that a black/white girl would be on the equestrian team.

It's most likely due to change...

And we all know that change has many effects on ppl...

In a lot of sports it has been all whites....

For others a majority of AFrican americans...

Even in the Harness Horse Racing....ex. white.... and a huge majority are French Canadian...

Then all of a sudden....I say..very few AF AM actually became drivers..not just grooms....then...very very few woman drivers...but they exsist and they are great at what they do..if not better.....

So all sports.. have changed..ppl no matter what their race...has the talent to go forth and live their dream...

Exceptance...change....and freedom....for all to live out their talent......

Thank God for evolution....

Ignore the looks.....some are most likely envious.....because they can't do it...

Keep ur head high and do ur best.....congrats to u..flowerforyou

F the naysayers.. you have nothing to prove to anyone, except yourself. Turn your head on them and show them what youre all about. Stand out from everyone else.. shiit there isnt a damn thing wrong with that! Do what you do girl, it will pay off in the end!
