i have 4 puppies born 1/19/08. they seem to have a problem with going poopie. it appears that they are pushing hard to potty. not all of them all of the time. i have one today that had a "turd" hanging 1/2 out, we used warm water and massaged it til he passed it, but his little butt looks like its turned inside out. he was throwing up this morning what appeared to be bile. i dont know what to do and wondered if anyone had any ideas. he is responsive and playful in spurts but not like normal.

very posible th food your feeding them,,,,,,,,,but u should ask a vet

I'm in rescue and I'd take him to the vet. Shouldn't strain that hard.

Oh and if it's possible keep him away from the others.

i was told that i could start them at 5 weeks old on puppy food, so i started them on it. i think it may have been too soon. ive never had puppies before and didtn plan on this either. so im "winging" it. my dog became pregnant before i could get her fixed. i called a friend of mine who works for a vet's office and was told to separate him for a while from the others, use a hemoroid creme or bag balm on his rectum after i clean it well with a damp cool cloth and see if it helps in the morning. also was told to take them off of the puppy food and start them back on mush.

take that baby to a vet..most vets or even the a.s.p.c.a. will work something out with you.
