At the end of every long day,
I lay my head to slumbers bay,
And drift away……
To darkest blue, starlit sky
As I think of you...

I gaze through my open window at the ...
Heavens so bright,
Wishing you were here this lonely night

From side to side, I toss and turn,
The night is silently calm, and
As I float away into soundless sleep,
I whisper a prayer for you,
My Lord to keep…
For him to watch over you,
To keep you safe and in his light
Through the darkness of this night…

May he give you all the rest you need,
The shelter under the rain,
And Courage in time of dangers.

As the night journeys on,
And morn appears, my dreams disappear like
The misty fog and my ears leer like the skies
Almost hearing the sun creeping up as if it
Were hidden beneath the sea.

I turn to my right and then to my left,
Only to find my pillow and the empty space that
Belongs to you.
