I sailed singlehandly from Fort Pierce Fl, to Isla Margarita, Venezuela on my 37' Pearson Ketch, with the intent of returning to Buzios, Brazil and do charter trips there. It took me about 2 years, traveling down to Miami, across the gulf stream, through the bahamas, down to Luperon Dominican Republic, acreoss to Puerto Rico, through most of the West Indies Islands and finally to Trinidad. However, I met a brazilian lady through the internet, and decided to meet in Isla Margarita during carnaval. I was a great romance and since she lived in Manaus Amazonia, she invited me to stay with her for a month. I found an opportunity to work in Brazil after a 3 month training period in Omaha Nebraska, so I sold my boat, and flew back to the states to take the job, but it lasted about a year, and finally after the Indian company that hired me went under after a corporate scandal, I decided to go back to Brazil to teach English and try to develop the Biometrics product that I mentioned. I spent there 2.5 years living in Recife, Rio, Manaus, Buzios, and Florianopolis before coming to Mexico.
