the tall man, grinning, said to his friend 'you had a hell of a night'

the shorter man groaned and said 'what you heard was me...trying to get up on the bed....

the bed beneath the window
the quilt mimicking the color of the sky
and me

words escaping my brain
bleeding out my ears
trickling from my bowed mouth
flowing down my body

one final gush

I lay, spent
drowning
beneath the spilled words

knowing

I think you can fill a life with routine
routine, can be soothing
in a world where things go awry
I vary things, so I am forced to pay attention
to what I do or don't do
I bounce from doing anything except routine
to crawling back to routine
to give my mind a rest
embracing routine is easier
rejecting routine is my staple
routine can dampen my desire
while teasing me to stay
the lure of routine can be irresistible
so while I dream in extremes
no work, all play
they are idle dreams
of one already travelling
the slipper road of routine

when I am hated..it intrigues me
for many are self absorbed...me, included
and yet when someone takes the time to hate me..i notice
maybe it's as simple as they think I hate them
when truly I am self absorbed and have no time to hate
I could never be absorbed in them as they are of themselves
for I am happily absorbed within myself
I extoll to look forward than back
I look to first time not last time
perhaps they play dirty
and convince others I hate them as well..or am a hater with a capital h
I believe it is easy to hate
I siphon away hate energy and leave nothing left to share
and i'll be damned first
and last to raise the white flag

disillusion
i've been thinking
of
disillusion
the removal of illusion
what's so bad
of being free of illusion
couldn't it be a good thing?
being free of illusion?
cause living in illusion means
you're not in reality
and living in reality
is living a life in a
meaningful way
so, i'm taking
disillusionment
and though I don't
want to be selfish
i'm taking a bit of
disenchantment as well

appetizer of stuffed mushrooms....oh so easy...

white button mushrooms
one container of Philadelphia salmon cream cheese or any flavor you want.
melted butter

clean mushrooms, take out stems
fill with cream cheese
place on baking pan
in 350 degree oven
bake ten minutes
drizzle with melted butter
back to oven for a few minutes
then serve
easy & yummy
