How can anyone defend this crap?

Pony up please?

Once more...I am being told I am attacking Christians for posting about hypocrisy, violence, greed, and a whole host of issues on these forums...but guess what...if these bastards didn't give me fodder to post it wouldn't happen.

Umm does the Bible say a thing of two about false prophets?

Umm isn't there a little saw about judge not lest you be judged?

So, it's okay to murder in the name of God but a woman making a choice that she will ultimately share with God is wrong???

I am a woman of faith and I am sure that God is going to work it out.

I am of two minds on this.

I support this persons right to say "&uck you" to the president but I also know making or publishing a threat on the life of the president is a crime.

If the author of this ad really feels this way he ought to have the intestinal fortitude to write a letter to the editor and tell the world in person.

A freeper is a poster to the boards on Free Republic.

There is no contradiction in believing abortion is wrong for me but supporting peoples right to choose for themselves.

No...pro-choice is just that...pro-choice.

Nearly everyone I know who is pro-choice is like me. I believe abortion is wrong and I would never have one myself and I would hope no one would ever have one. However I respect a woman's right to choose.

If God thinks it's wrong to abort I have faith that God will work it out but that is between the woman and God. God, I am quite sure is up to that.

Pro-lifers are not pro-life...they are anti-choice.

Free Republic bills itself as an "Online message boards for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web."

It is home to some reasonable people but is largely populated by the neocon sheeple.

Right to life? I hope his killer gets the electric chair!!

These people are domestic terrorist and deserve to be locked up! Right to life my behind?!?

WICHITA - George Tiller, the Wichita doctor who became a national lightning rod in the debate over abortion, was shot to death this morning inside the lobby of his Wichita church.

Tiller, 67, was shot just after 10 a.m. at Reformation Lutheran Church at 7601 E. 13th, where he was a member of the congregation. Witnesses and a police source confirmed Tiller was the victim.

Police said they are looking for white male who was driving a 1990s powder blue Ford Taurus with Kansas license plate 225 BAB. The vehicle is registered to an owner in Merriam, which is in the Kansas City area.

Wichita police Capt. Brent Allred said that several law enforcement agencies -- including the FBI and the KBI -- have been called in to help with the case.

"This is going to be a larger search than probably maybe just Wichita that we're looking for this individual," Allred said. "So we've got the resources coming in to help us with this investigation."

Homicide detectives and Sedgwick County District Attorney Nola Foulston arrived at the church after the shooting.

What appeared to be a body was taken away in an SUV with a patrol car behind it at about 12:30 p.m.

At about 12:40, a police dog was taken to check out a black SUV. An investigator wrote down the tag number on the vehicle.

Members of the congregation who were inside the sanctuary at the time of the shooting were being kept inside the church by police, and those arriving were being ushered into the parking lot immediately after the shooting. Witnesses later were being transported downtown for interviews and other members of the congregation were slowly being released from inside the sanctuary.

Tiller has long been a focal point of protest by abortion opponents because his clinic, Women's Health Care Services at 5701 E. Kellogg, is one of the few in the country where late-term abortions are performed.

"We are shocked at this morning's disturbing news that Mr. Tiller was gunned down," anti-abortion group Operation Rescue said in a statement on its Web site. "Operation Rescue has worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see him brought to justice. We denounce vigilantism and the cowardly act that took place this morning. We pray for Mr. Tiller's family that they will find comfort and healing that can only be found in Jesus Christ."

Protesters blockaded Tiller's clinic during Operation Rescue's "Summer of Mercy" protests during the summer of 1991, and Tiller was shot by Rachelle Shannon at his clinic in 1993. Tiller was wounded in both arms, and Shannon remains in prison for the shooting.

The clinic was bombed in June 1986, and was severely vandalized earlier this month. According to the Associated Press, his lawyer said wires to security cameras and outdoor lights were cut and that the vandals also cut through the roof and plugged the buildings' downspouts. Rain poured through the roof and caused thousands of dollars of damage in the clinic. Tiller reportedly asked the FBI to investigate the incident.

No arrests were made in the 1986 bombing.

Sgt. Bart Brunscheen of the Wichita Police Department said there has been no activitiy today at Tiller's clinic, although security crews were being brought in to make sure the building was secure. Officials also were going to check the clinic's security cameras to see whether there was any activity over night.

Tiller and his clinic have faced continuous threats and lawsuits. A Wichita jury ruled in March that he was not guilty of illegal abortion on 19 criminal charges he faced for allegedly violating a state law requiring an "independent" second physician's concurring opinion before performing later term abortions. Immediately following the ruling in this criminal case, the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts made public a similar complaint against Tiller that was originally filed in December 2008.

So, it's all about what?

We have an opening on the court...but do you know what the SCOTUS does? What sorts of cases it considers and how those cases made their way to the final court of appeal?

Here is a bit to look at. If you follow the link at the end of my post you will see what I posted here and the embedded links on the page.

I beg you to read and consider what we are made of. The United States of America and it's citizens shouldn't take a knee to monarchs nor should we to ignorance or fear.

Even when we are told to.

Activist judges? WOW...look at these cases and tell me..do you want a judge to....

Umm tell me...I don't want to make any assumptions.

Damn..so are you implying that the people who saw Obama speak or voted for him are like the followers of the Third Reich?

If so I find that way more insulting than being called small minded.

/smirk

Btw, around 100,000 of us saw him speak in person in St. Louis.

So what, how many people saw one of Hitler's speeches?

Amending this post with this...I am not a happy a$$ Obama follower but if I had to choose a boat it wouldn't be with the just say no types here. You all are giving true conservatism a bad name.

Please...quite being stereotypical sheeple raging around and smarten up. You argue that the future of the country is at stake and what do you post?

Man up!

Yep...in the absence of any real issue those who object to Obama being president post stuff like this.

Seriously, he is doing things I am pretty unhappy with too but let's have an issue please instead of a false issue like Obama TV.

Humm let's try again.

Why isn't Shrub still president?

Presidents (at present) may not serve more than two terms. This is something most sixth graders know.

As for the economy? The economy doesn't reset with a new administration like it does in a board game.

There's this pesky little thing called an election as well. While I agree that the will of the majority doesn't equal right the people elected Obama with a clear majority.

Bush had eight years and guess what? He failed miserably.

Once more...ignorance does not equal bliss...it yields sheeple.

I used to frequently travel between Canada and the U.S. as many in my state have done all their lives. My kids did too. (haha My middle daughter once called me from Niagara Falls to tell me she forgot her drivers license. The whole trip no one ever checked. Not even at the border.)

Many of my fellow Michiganders have cottages or weekend homes in Canada as do Canadians here. Shopping, trips to see plays and trips to the casino were weekend regular for us. Hockey is big here and people frequently travel for games and training.

Can't be done without a passport or NEXUS card, long lines, possible random detention, searches and harassment.

I no longer make the trip.

I will not have a chip.

I am a law abiding American born citizen who wants to travel lawfully meanwhile illegals travel back and forth unimpeded. Pisses me off.

Excellent post Geekofthetenth. You said it well.

Christians have had their Holy Crusade and their Spanish Inquisition. The Christian religion has been used to nearly decimate Native Americans along with other native groups like the Aztecs and Incans.

I don't group Christian zealots with all Christians, most of whom of pleasant decent people. And I wouldn't group all muslims and people of arabic descent with terrorists.

This person acts like 9/11 was the most horrendous thing in the history of mankind. Tragic, sure, do people have a right to be angry, of course but if viewed in historical context...we did drop 2 atomic bombs in Japan, how many little kids and babies and old people in hospitals did that kill? Japan seems to have gotten over it and don't hate us anymore. In historical context there have been far greater tragedies.

I have a feeling that this kind of reaction is what the terrorists want, they'd prefer it for americans to attack and denigrate all muslims and people of arabic descent since it gives them the ability to recruit and continue a cycle of war and hatred.

Airbus $200,000,000.00 FAIL...umm well okay so more like Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies EPIC FAIL!! haha

So, coverage of this news event is insulting to the ADAT?

Makes you think twice about the competency of crews when you see this happening during the debut of this obscenely large and expensive aircraft.

The pictures of this are really spectacular and I recommend having a look.

http://kevintren.posterous.com/dont-let-these-people-borrow-your-car

Here is another link to info on this really amazingly incompetent job the flight crew did. EPIC FAIL pics included. http://www.snopes.com/photos/airplane/etihad.asp

April 14, 2009
Don't let these people borrow your car. . .

This new Airbus A340-600, one of the largest passenger airliners
ever built sits just outside its hangar in Toulouse, France
without a single hour of airtime.

Enter the flight crew of Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies
(ADAT) to conduct pre-delivery tests on the ground, such as
engine run-ups prior to delivery to Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi.
The ADAT crew taxied the A340-600 to the run-up area.

Then they took all four engines to takeoff power with a
virtually empty aircraft. Not having read the run-up
manuals, they had no clue just how light an empty
A340-600 really is.

The takeoff warning horn was blaring away in the cockpit
because they had all 4 engines at full power. The aircraft
computers thought they were trying to take off, but it had
not been configured properly (flaps/slats, etc.).

Then one of the ADAT crew decided to pull the circuit
breaker on the Ground Proximity Sensor to silence the alarm.
This fools the aircraft into thinking it is in the air. The computers automatically released all the brakes and set the aircraft rocketing forward. The ADAT crew had no idea that this is a safety feature so that pilots can't land with the brakes on.

Not one member of the seven-man crew was smart
enough to throttle back the engines from their max power
setting, so the $200 million brand-new aircraft crashed
into a blast barrier, totaling it.

The extent of injuries to the crew is unknown due to the
news blackout in the major media in France and elsewhere.

Not posting on the Origin of the Bible is complete without mentioning the many times the Bible has been translated, transposed (with errors intentional or not), edited, interpreted and rewritten along with the broadly known elimination and destruction of gospels not seeming to fit by the powers that controlled the writing and distribution of various Bibles.

It is clear, given the history of the book over time these are the words of man not of God.
