I am thankfull... for the wonderful life I have had, despite the one bump in the course of things.
....for waking up each day...for my wonderful kids. ...for all the opportunities available to me. ...that I have a brain and know how to use it. LOL ...that I dont have to freak out about cooking a turkey anymore. |

Have my first mingle meet
Remember to keep it safe. And they are probably just as nervous as you are. So breathe, relax and have a good time.
And over half of my first time meet and greets were no shows so be prepared for that also. |

Anti-'Twilight' Films
QUOTE: QUOTE: Ok, first off the Twilight series is geared to Tweens. They are the driving force behind the media hype and the ticket sales. To critique a movie for that age group without having a tween mindset is silly. Not every movie is or has to be of great cinamatic art to be a good movie for the age group it targets. Some times its just fun to see a silly movie for silly's sake. Would you be getting your knickers in a knot over the movie- Lilo and Stich? Probably not, but it was a movie that garnered rave reviews and had a long run with the under 6 set. Remember this, if there were not bad movies how would you know when a good movie comes along? Case in point-- I love the movie May. I think it is the best acting by the lead actress ( I cant think of her name now of course ) and the cinamatography is without comparison. But not many people have even heard of it, much less seen it. Wrong target audience? Bad critiques by one or two movie critics? Not being sold by the big movie makers? Could be. But that doesnt make it a bad movie, nor does it mean it should be in a film archive. JMO I agree. They have made, and are going to make, alot of money off of that age group. (btw...Lilo and stitch was awesome. )
However, I personally don't like the movie, or the books for the simple fact that while they aren't bad, there are much better books and movies out there, and to cause this much fuss over something so blah...is mindboggling to me. It was the mindless crazed fans that made me nearly loathe twilight.
Mindless, crazed fans--That remindes me of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Fawned over, ranted and raved over, to this day still droves of people showing up dressed in costume to watch it, and yet I wont go see it. And thats ok. I can let them have their fun, just leave me out, thank you very much. Who I am to say that that movie is bad or good. |

With any of the flu shots ( H1N1 or seasonal ) you have a chance of getting ill. The virus is in your body and you have to build anit-bodies to fight it. That is suppose to make you less likely to get a worse case, deadly version of the flu if and when you are exposed to it.

Nope. Good looking to me is different than good looking to someone else. I like to say, " He has the look that I am searching for, I'll know it when I see it."

Cell phone
This is what I was told at the Verizon store when I wanted to switch a phone to pay as you go. Verizon has a "pay as you go" type plan, but it is a dollar a day for any day you use your phone. Verison phones dont have sim cards in them to be able to switch the phones to another carrier. So I think that you are stuck using that phone with only Verizon.
OP-- I think that as long as your phone has a sim card, you can change it to a Trac phone. Wal-Mart has Trac phone sim cards. P.S. I love my Trac phone. 20 bucks every other month.

Ok, lets see if I got this correct. You told a gal that you want to take it slow to work on your house, spend time with your daughter and work and she will have to wait till you are ready. When will that be? When the house is painted, new carpet is installed, cupboards replaced, you change jobs, the raise comes through, the leaves are raked, your daughter graduates high school, college, gets married? When do you make time for you? Because fun for Jim is part of your life also. I can understand your priorities, but whats wrong with maybe having a loving female to help you with your goals?
And I dont know how you define facebook stalking, but maybe she sees that as the only time to talk to you, keep in touch and share a nice moment with you. I shouldnt go there but I did and could be wrong because I am not in your shoes. I just hope you give it some serious thought before you just dump her. Good luck and best wishes. |

If everyone told you to jump off a cliff with out a parachute, would you?
If the person doesnt have a photo and is posting in the forums, of course chat with them to get to know them. ( folks cant be nasty in the forums, so to an extent they behave with a bit more of decorum) If it goes against your grain to do something, dont listen to herd mentality. JMO

First job.....
My Uncle owned a Smorgasbord. There was a theatre in town that would get busloads of theatre goers for dinner before the show. My Grandmother worked there as a waitress and when my mom was sick, Grandma took me to the restaurant and sat me behind the bar at the end with a coloring book and crayons. (out of the way) I was 4. My "job" was to greet the diners comming off the bus. I usually made a glass full of change by the end of the night.
