i'm a couple notches away from being suicidal most of the time anyhoo.
i'd gladly do it. death is a fact of life. it's gonna happen anyway... might as well do it for a good cause. |

This Is It
A veteran Oscar voter predicts Michael Jackson's "This Is It" will be nominated for best picture based upon its reception at today's academy screening. He e-mails Gold Derby this report, "Just attended Sunday afternoon screening of 'This Is It' at AMPAS in Goldwyn Theater before a capacity audience (1,000 seats) to experience the most enthusiastic response I've every witnessed in 40 years of academy screenings. Similar to but better than the reaction given to 'Chicago' a few years ago Audience broke into applause at least 10 times. They were 'mesmerized' and gave film an enormous reception as credits rolled. The editing is brilliant. I predict it will be the first doc to ever make the best picture nomination list, especially now that there are 10 best pic noms. I also consider the work 'a gift to the world.' "

i don't.
the cops i've encountered in my life time have been complete self-entitled ********. i don't get uncomfortable, i get short tempered. the first time i had to deal with the police was when i was 17 and had to call them becuz my dad pulled a knife on my mother after he'd been hitting her around. they took several HOURS to bother to get there... and then when they got there they realized they knew my father because he works closely with them in his job. they took him away to have a chat, he (my father) told them he never laid a hand on my mother before, they believed him and dropped him back home a couple hours later... my mum had to pack her things a leave the next day for fear of her life. the second time i had to deal with the police was when a friend of mine was raped at knife point while on her way to meet up with me to go out... her boyfriend and i were the first on the scene when she called us and we eventually went to the police station with her and her parents... when they took her in to be questioned privately her boyfriend and i were in the waiting area of the police station obviously distraught at what happened... some police officer came in and yelled at us for slouching, told us to sit up straight or leave... we left. to put it mildly... i detest the police.

that's like asking if i'd be interested in seeing first-hand how da vinci made the mona lisa... or how god (if there is one) created the universe.
i mean.. it's not even a question of if, but rather, how many times. |

is it possible for a heterosexual man to be satisfied with being best friends with an attractive woman without wanting anything more than that?

QUOTE: unapproachable? For me the sexier she is the worse I am to talk to her as a complete stranger. There are times however when I feel this attraction between us no matter how sexy she is and that leads to conversation but it takes time usually. So if it was like a one look glance probably didn't make a move but if it was many many many times I probably still didn't make a move, but if it was more than once or she walks near me or she stares into my eyes and stays fixated on me chances are I'll take a shot. Also it depends on who I'm with. If she's too hot for words I probably wouldn't talk to her no matter who was there but there have been occasions where the friends that I have =the communication between her and I. I don't know why but certain people when I'm around them I feel like the entire world is perfect and this angel in front of my eyes that is pure beauty is just meant to be talked to as nothing could go wrong with my wing man in my corner. Still there are plenty of times that this doesn't happen which is why I got a new tactic and that tactic was how to make women approach me. This tactic works easier. There are still times where it doesn't though. If she's stunning and she approaches me I'm stunned and that's all there is to it. It allows me to keep up conversations though and it allows for ice to break and it definitely allows me to see many many many boobies that I would have never seen without this technique.

Have you ever wondered...
QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: ..if one of the dollar bills in your wallet was once in the butt crack of a stripper? Nope but I wash my hands after handling money. This weekend I was out-of-town. During the drive there and during the drive back, I ate fast food. The cashier handled my money and then put her hand in my drinking cups and handed them to me. I was getting the food for my parents and child. Both times I politely asked them for new cups - ones that they didn't touch while they're touching money. One girl didn't understand what I was requesting.
This is why I don't understand fast food places letting cashiers also be food handlers. Can't do that in a grocery store. that's odd. in my country in our fast food outlets there's a cashier who takes your order and your money... she gives you a reciept with a number for your order and there are separate workers down the line who prepare and give you your food etc. i thought that was the same everywhere
It is like that everywhere, but if there is nothing to do cashiers do what they can to help out, that's all. ahhh well that just defeats the purpose of the arrangement doesn't it lol. |

QUOTE: I've always been told by men that I'm a very approachable person... after so many times hearing that I asked why... - what about me made them feel comfortable approaching me...? By far though, the main thing I've been told over the years about why they felt comfortable approaching me, was my smile. I've heard that they could just tell I was a nice person who wouldn't be rude, so they didn't feel nervous to say hello. So maybe that's the trick - smile more and and for every person to have more confidence in themselves. A simple "hello" could change your life. The man I was with for 12 years before he died of cancer a few years ago - we met in an airport in Vegas. I was walking to the baggage claim area, and he literally just approached me and walked side-by-side with me - I remember laughing about how bold this stranger was being...I said, "Do I know you?" and smiled, and he simply extended his hand and said "I'd like you to, my name is Mike"...and life as we knew it changed... Though I lost him, I can not imagine how my life would've been had he not made that bold move in the airport. It was shocking and yes, somewhat out-there for most people to do -- but it's proof that we are all put in certain places/situations at just the right second to meet the right person -- it's up to us to act on it. I'm so thankful he did... So maybe the next time someone catches your attention, and you feel a strong pulling to them - don't wonder what to say or how you'll feel if nothing comes of it. Just do it.... life is too short to worry about what might go wrong - every now and then a lot goes right too...
what a lovely post. one of my favourites in this thread

many factors make women easier to aproach. if you have a few drinks it makes it easier. the biggest thing..... If you have no reason to try something it makes it easier to aproach them. If you only want to talk, not date or sleep with.
