Well this wasn't really funny and maybe off topic a little but many years ago my ex husband and I were laying in bed watching a porn and for some odd reason I said "wouldn't it be funny if someone was watching us through the window?"
I must have had a premonition because when I got up from the bed, I looked towards the window and there was a face staring back at me. This was at night and the window was open and we were on the second floor. He had taken a wood plank and propped it up against the building to peep in.
I screamed and my ex ran out and caught hom while I called the cops

Not so funny tears

True story bigsmile

Mingle is pretty good as far as getting to chat with women that live thousands of miles away that I'm never going to meet goes.

Did get someone messaging me the other day though that said that she was coming to Scotland this month and wanted to know if I wanted to meet her but when I told her that I'm looking for a relationship (which it does actually say on my profile) she said sorry and she's just looking for men that are going to take her out and show her a good time.

Thats so true, if anything we get to meet some very interesting people from all over the world. Its been a great learning experience as well :)

No one has ever said I looked like anyone famous, but I dated a man who looked a lot like Kevin Costner. They looked enough alike that at a concert once, a 14 year old girl was hyperventilating while trying to ask him for an autograph, he put his hand on her shoulder to steady her and she looked up at him and fainted. laugh Poor thing.

Thats hilarious and I bet it happens to alot of people.
I did also out at the coast meet a guy who looked like Jon Bon Jovi but much shorter.

The two most memorable ones I met were:

When I lived out at the coast (Vancouver) I met a guy who looked exa ctly like Bruce Willis in a career exploration class I was taking, which just happened to be located just down the street from the movie studio. The instructor directed a comment towards this guy whos name was "Paul Richer" and asked "why would Bruce Willis need to take this course" lol

A year later, I was taking another course and met a Johnny Depp look a like, same height, body frame and voice. He just happened to be a musician and I was told he had also done some acting. How strange is that? One day he was wearing Vintage clothing with the name "Johnny" written on the shirt lol

I am wondering who here looks like a celebrity?

I have met many people over the years who look like one celeb or another.

I was told in the 80's when I was streaking my hair blonde that I looked like Stevie Nicks. Then it was Linda Blair, Sally Struthers and Stifflers mom in the movie "American Pie" about ten years ago. Nobody has compared me recently.

Haha ok goodmanGoodheart

Years ago I used the old yahoo chatrooms before all the Bots took over and I had met quite a few people off there.

Today I am finding it very hard to meet anyone off these sites. It could be that I am older now and/or people have just changed. Maybe I have changed, I'm not really sure what it is.

i believe its rare that it works out.

I tried it a couple of times and think that trust would be the hardest part of it. There is so many issues to overcome like how often will you see each other? How expensive is it going to be to travel back and forth?..whos going to give up their job to move?

I rather find someone close. Its just too much trouble for me.
It wouldn't take much for someone close to woooo you away from the LDR and thats another issue

Sir I agree with you 100 percent. I have not given up.

Thank you, met a chance encounter today at the bookstore, cup of coffee, and a dinner date next Friday, no computer giberish.

There is romance out here without all this mindless battering on a computer.

Good luck on you dinner date :)

Realistically I think if I..we all tried harder to meet people in real life that we would all have a way better chance of getting dates. I myself am too shy to start a conversation with a guy in a public place who I feel is interested. Thats probably why I chose online dating and it has been very beneficial for me as it really got me out of my shell.

Online dating has changed so much now. I sit here and watch..waste my time looking at a blank email box. Pointless now to even be here
